Find Rackspace and me at SharePoint Conference

Did you know that SharePoint 911 is now part of Rackspace SharePoint Services? When you’re looking for the experts from SharePoint911, you’ll probably see them with Rackspace shirts on and often at the Rackspace booth. Also, they’re very active presenting, signing books and working with the community. The Rackspace booth is number #704 and it’s in the 6th row of exhibitors when you head forward with your back to the main entrance of the Exhibit Hall. As part of the

More SharePoint at Rackspace

More for me. More for them. More for you. I’m joining the incredibly talented, infamously humorous, infinitely engaging SharePoint team at Rackspace. Jeff Deverter and company have hosted the San Antonio SharePoint User Group monthly meetings at Rackspace for a couple years now and I’ve gotten to know a lot of their smart admins. With the recent addition of the SharePoint911 crew the level of SharePoint talent at Rackspace exploded overnight. If you attend conferences that include SharePoint content, it’s

SharePoint for DBAs Part 1 at SALSSA

Last night I presented a session titled SharePoint for DBAs Part 1 at the San Antonio League of SQL Server Administrators (www.SALSSA.com). SharePoint Conference 2011 is going to Disneyland

I wonder how many people caught the Live Chat on the Microsoft SharePoint Team’s Facebook page today. I missed the chat but noticed in the transcript some interesting details. First of all, Microsoft is renting Disneyland for a SharePoint Conference Party on the Tuesday night of the event. Only makes sense being in Anaheim, right? Other than that, I didn’t see much new in the chat. Eric kind of dodged a question by Rick Taylor about mobile, one about Skype

SharePoint is My Blog Platform

My friend Jeff recently wrote about something about SharePoint that needs to change on Google and Bing. Autocomplete shows a negative picture of SharePoint when you type SharePoint followed by the word is and then a space. I hope this post will start a trend of positive posts about what “SharePoint is” for many others like us. Let’s change autocomplete! SharePoint is a tool Jeff evangelizes and one that has been my area of technical specialty for since late 2006
